Hula

I went to my first hulaerobics class last night at the gym.

I often find that I want to go to the gym but when I get there I get awfully bored, like I’ve not really got a target to hit or anyone to push me that wee bit further, so I figured going to a structured class would help.

Hulaerobics was so much fun. I’m in a fair bit of pain today (but it’s good pain) so I know it was a good workout. Not as dandy with a hula hoop as I used to be though, but I’ll definately be going back next week ;-)

Day 6

Tonight is going to be a knitting night. The yarn that I am currently using I don’t like very much, I’m not sure if it indeed eyelash yarn or not, but it’s very similar, but for some reason I find the yarn makes my hands feel sticky. Maybe its the specific material used to make it I do not know, it’s Patons Whisper if that means anything to anyone.

I do however have 2 balls lovely larn (Wendy, Velvet Flake) in White and Raspberry Flake colours that I will use to start a new scarf, and this is where I get to practice my technique of switching between one coour and another, having never done that before it’ll be interesting. :-) These require size 10 1/2 needles btu I only hav size 10 since i’m just starting out, but I hope these will still be ok to use.

Went to the gym earlier, had a nice run, sauna and a swin, feeling quite good now.

Numb Tongue

One of my wisdom teeth has been causing me a fair bit of pain. I’ve been using Clover Oil (disgusting by the way) and antibacterial mouthwash, ibuprofen (400mg), co-codamol and bonjella teething gel and so far I’ve had no luck getting rid of the pain, in fact the only thing I’ve manage to numb is my tongue with all the crazy gel I’ve been using.

If this is what getting wise means then I’d rather be a dumbass.

Ice Cream, Cannabis And Sex

These are all quotes from Wikipedia.
The Ice Cream:
“A simple treatment, which has been effective for some, is a counteracting “ice cream headache”, briefly provoked by placing spoonfuls of ice cream on the soft palate at the back of the mouth. (Hold them there with your tongue until they melt or become intolerable.) This directs cooling to the hypothalamus, which is suspected to be involved with the migraine feedback cycle, and for some it can stop even a severe headache very quickly.”

The Cannabis:
“Cannabis was a standard treatment for migraines from the mid-19th century until it was outlawed in the early 20th century in the USA. It has been reported to help people through an attack by relieving the nausea and dulling the head pain, as well as possibly preventing the headache completely when used as soon as possible after the onset of pre-migraine symptoms, such as aura. There is some indication that semi-regular use may reduce the frequency of attacks.”

The Sex:
“Sexual activity has been reported by a proportion of male and female migraine sufferers to relieve migraine pain significantly in some cases.”

How good did my life just get!

I Will Sleep My Life Away

< rant >
I had yet another migraine yesterday, started at some point in the afternoon, but I was determined to stay till the end of the day rather than go home early. I managed to get home and make myself some dinner, but after that, had to go to bed while I still had the chance. 12 hours later I wake up at 7am…time to get ready for work.

It really bothers me how so much of my life is wasted by sleeping off a migraine because it seems the only thing that really works, and even then it doesn’t work all the time.

I want my life back minus the migraines.

14 Hours Doing What?

So it’s Monday morning and I’m in work and I thought a nice way to start the week would be with some Mark Knopfler. Currently listening to Everybody Pays from the Shangri-La album. I really like the melody of the song. I must really thank Matt for making me listen to countless hours of Knopfler’s stuff. The same goes for his brother Martin and all that Thin Lizzy. It’s true, if you listen to something long enough, you start to like it :-)

So I’ve gone on a bit of a health kick, more for my own benefit. I want to feel like I have more energy, and yeh I guess part of me wants to be a teeny bit slimmer, even though Chris likes my curves the way they are. In saying that, despite whether it’s to lose weight or not, eating more healthy and exercise is always good for you.

Also really trying very hard to increase the amount of water I drink. I began to realise how little fluid I actually drink in a day, so I’m aiming to drink at least 1.5 litres, which as it turns out is quite easily managable. Only problem is that it seems to be bring out the impurities in my skin on my face so I’ve got a spot. Grrrr.

So this weekend was pretty lazy. I spent 14 hours solid playing World Of Warcraft, which was much fun :-) Got my new Blood Elf Hunter which I am loving so so much more than my ugly Undead character.

I was watching some Jane Austen thing on ITV last night and one of the actresses was sitting doing some embroidery while the ‘handsome fellow’ was reading some poetry aloud. Put me in the mood for doing more cross stitch. Maybe if I didn’t spend so much time playing WoW I could fit some in. In a way it would be good. While I am stitching and not playing I would be gaining rested xp to use next time I play, the longer I don’t play for the more I have, up to a point.
I am currently stitching a Lilliput Lane cottage, the kit is called Home Is Where The Heart Is. Mum use to collect the ornaments of the cottages so it would be nice if I ever finished it to get it framed for my mum.

Anyway think I’ve done enough talking…I should be working!

I should also play more of my 360…..soon when Guitar Hero II comes out, it will be all I do! Roll on April 6th.
